God's private name, part 1

Video 10 in the series "All" about God

I’ve done several videos now on aspects of how we address God. We’ve seen God’s common name (“El”), his substantive name (“I AM WHO I AM”), and his relational name (“I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob”). But now we come to God’s private, personal name: the Tetragrammaton.

Wait… the what?

Tetragrammaton. It means the four letters in Hebrew that represent the most intimate way of addressing God. In English, the most common transliteration is YHWH, although in your Bible you’ll often see it spelled LORD (and yes, in all-caps).

The name is so special, I have prepped three videos for us to explore together. Please enjoy this one, and stay tuned for more!
